Inventory System

Inventory management in Project 12 became more important after Police Week 2026 added the housing system, gun store, and bank store. This guide covers what you can carry, what you can store, and how to organize your gear as a police or civilian/criminal player. From Cinnamon X (CinnamonSoftware), Roblox open-world Action / city RP, live since December 2, 2025.

What the inventory system covers

Project 12’s inventory covers:

  • Personal carry — items and gear you have equipped or in your immediate inventory while playing
  • Safe house storage — items stored in your owned housing property
  • Store purchases — items bought from the gun store and bank store using cash or Robux
  • Weapon passes — paid game passes for Molotov, Grenade, AK, and AR

Personal carry limits

City RP games typically have a personal carry limit to prevent players from hoarding everything. Project 12 likely has:

  • A maximum number of equipped items at any one time
  • Restrictions on carrying high-value items while having an active wanted level
  • A separation between paid passes (owned via Robux) and earned or found items

Confirm exact limits in your client — these are framework descriptions, not confirmed specifications.

Safe house storage (Police Week 2026)

Housing introduced personal safe house storage:

  • Store excess items in your safe house to free up personal carry space
  • Display trophies and weapons as decoration using the housing menu
  • Access storage from inside your property
  • Organize items so frequently used gear is easier to retrieve

Read Housing for full access and decoration mechanics.

Store purchases: gun store and bank store

Police Week 2026 added new stores:

  • Gun store — sells Molotov (90 Robux), Grenade (250 Robux), AK (999 Robux), AR (999 Robux)
  • Bank store — additional items purchased with in-game cash

Both stores allow you to display purchased items in your safe house. Read Weapons for verified pass IDs and prices, and Game Passes for buying habits.

Item management habits

Good inventory habits keep your session clean:

  1. Store before risky activities — put excess items in your safe house before attempting crimes
  2. Organize by frequency — keep daily-use items accessible, store rare or decorative items separately
  3. Check before selling — confirm an item is replaceable before discarding
  4. Separate wanted-carry from storage — do not carry your full inventory while having an active heat level
  5. Display intentionally — use housing decoration to show items that tell your character’s story

Criminal inventory considerations

For the civilian/criminal path:

  • High-value stolen items generate heat — store them in safe house immediately after a score
  • Carrying multiple wanted items increases risk of full confiscation on arrest
  • Housing storage is not immune to robbery — read Robbery System for protection habits
  • Inventory management is part of heat management from Crime and Heat

Police inventory considerations

For the police path:

  • Equip items that match your current activity (patrol vs chase)
  • Store excess passes or evidence in safe house when not on duty
  • Police tool loadouts should not require paid passes — the core toolkit is accessible without Robux
  • Review Weapons ethics before purchasing paid gear

Robbery risk to stored items

After Police Week 2026, other players can attempt to rob your safe house. Counter-measures:

  • Do not store more value than you can afford to lose
  • Lock doors through the housing menu when leaving
  • Set security systems if available
  • Distribute valuable items — do not keep everything in one location
